Recently our foundation was made aware of a trucking accident that involved Mark Paige and his son Jaxson of Independence, Kansas. We were able to reach out to them and offer support and advise as they worked towards bringing Mark home and getting him into a rehab so that he can be as independent as possible. Thanks to our generous donors we were able to send them a check for $1000 to help with travel and lost wages. Both Mark and his son were team trucking.
Mark is 60 years old and his wife Lisa is an educator at one of the grade schools in Independence. The local community is rallying behind them and helping by sponsoring some fundraisers. They have many needs at this time as their house is not wheelchair accessible and there are other complications involved in Mark’s recovery and rehabilitation. As with most spinal cord injuries, just figuring out how to manage bowels, bladder and skin are top priorities. We ask that you would pray for this family as they go through this process and that God would provide for their needs.
Our foundation will continue to support them as much as we can and we appreciate your help. Without you we would not be able to assist families like this and be a blessing to them during such a devastating time. Thank you for helping us share the love and grace of God to people like this in a very practical way.

Early in the morning on Dec 28th, Mark & Jaxon were in a semi-truck accident. They had started team driving for a trucking company. The truck left the road and went over the edge of and embankment where the road bridged over a cross road. Mark was driving. Jaxon was asleep in the back. He woke up during the accident and held Mark as the truck went over. Thankfully he was not hurt except for some “road rash” Mark was hurt badly and was flown from the western edge of Oklahoma to OU Health Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He had to have spinal cord surgery. They had to repair from L10 to C3 of his spine and placed screws and rods to protect the spine from further injury. The surgery went as expected, but Mark did not have feeling or mobility below the waist. While there, he did regain feeling in his upper thighs. Mark continues to be in rehab working on mobility training for his limitations.
