Clay Center Speaking

Last month we traveled to Clay Center, KS and spoke at a couple of school assemblies. Part of our mission is to reach out to young people at schools and teach them about the importance of making good choices and how to respond when faced with unwanted and unchangeable circumstances. We also talk a little bit about what it’s like to be paralyzed and how to use a sip-n-puff wheelchair. Today we received a pretty cool thank you note from one of the students there. There was actually a big envelope full of them, but I wanted to share this one. We never know when we might make a connection with someone like this…

During the upcoming month we will be going to three schools locally, here in Labette County,,, sharing a message of perseverance and hope and challenging young people to “Do what you can, with what you have, right where you are.”
